Actor Jim Carrey has been causing a stir recently with his paintings that address controversial topics such as US politics.
Unafraid to tackle issues such as elephant poaching and Facebook, Carrey’s undoubted favourite topic is the US President himself – Donald Trump.
Taking to Twitter yesterday, Carrey hilariously submitted his ‘official portrait’ of Trump to the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.
He shared a photo of his incredible portrait which shows Trump, mouth agape, sitting in his bathrobe eating ice cream while itching one of his nipples.
Carrey wrote alongside the picture:
Dear Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, I know it’s early but I’d like to submit this as the official portrait of our 45th President, Donald J. Trump.
It’s called, ‘You Scream. I Scream. Will We Ever Stop Screaming?’
Having been up for a day, at time of writing (March 30) the tweet has proven popular receiving over 20,000 retweets and 75,000 likes.

Many of Carrey’s fans have replied to the tweet applauding Carrey on both his eye for detail and artistic talent.
Raja congratulated the actor writing:
Disturbing yet awesome and completely on point. Got a genuine lol from me.

Brian Krassenstein encouraged Carrey to sell his pictures tweeting:
You should sell prints of these and donate the funds to the ACLU. You’d sell thousands plus help people who Trump is hurting.

Rachel Gray was noticeably impressed by Carrey’s work simply replying:
Jim, you are killin’ it. Thank you.

The portrait arguably isn’t as scandalous as Carrey’s painting which portrayed US President Donald Trump having sex with former adult actress Stormy Daniels.
He accurately called it Fifty Shades of Decay:

Daniels, real name Stephanie Clifford, claims she slept with Trump numerous times before he was president.
Wanting to go public with the alleged decade-old affair in the run up to the election, she claims she was paid $130,000 in 2016 by Trump’s then lawyer Michael Cohen to stay quiet about the relationship in ‘a hush agreement’.
Recently Daniels filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles’ Superior Court on March 7 suing the president alleging he was aware of the agreement and that the money was intended to be used to influence the election’s outcome.
Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, who has close ties to the Democrats, shared the lawsuit on his Twitter page.
He wrote:
Earlier today, we filed this complaint seeking a ct order voiding the alleged ‘hush’ agreement between our client S. Clifford aka Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump.

With the scandal gripping America, it is no wonder Carrey tackled it, unafraid of causing debate and controversy.
He loves nothing more than to paint Trump who has featured many times in the actor’s artwork.
Last year Carrey painted a picture of Trump kissing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s buttocks.
He has also taken aim at Trump’s press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Republican party Senate candidate Roy Moore (who was accused of sexual misconduct) and others from the president’s inner circle.
