Kim and Kanye have responded after they perceived Drake to have threatened their family.

The Gold Digger rapper received a text on Thursday (December 13) asking if he wanted to ‘clear Drake’s request’ for Say What’s Real, a 2009 song recorded by Drake, which Kanye produced the beat to.

Accepting the clearance request would give Drake the permission to use a sample of the song, which I’m sure he just wanted for some of his other music, but Ye wasn’t up for sharing and took to Twitter to explain why.

Sharing a screenshot of the text to Twitter, and simultaneously displaying a dislike of wrestling, the rapper wrote:

This proves sh*t faker than wrestling.

Kanye said he was still waiting on an apology from the Canadian rapper for dissing his Yeezy 350 sneakers in the song No Stylist, where Drake sings ‘I told her don’t wear no 350s ’round me’.

Ye wrote:

Still need that apology for mentioning the 350s and trying to take food out your idols kids mouths.

Despite the beef between them, the 41-year-old said he would never intentionally try to hurt Drake and explained he’s never made a diss record or engaged in any ‘tough talk’ against the rapper, saying it’s not his ‘MO’.

The I Love It rapper went on to encourage Drake to speak to him directly – though he didn’t tag the Canadian, so that comment was pretty hypocritical if you ask me.

Kanye wrote:

Been trying to meet with you for 6 months bro You sneak dissing on trav records and texting Kris talking bout how’s the family.

A few hours later it seems Kanye got his wish as he claimed Drake called him, but he obviously didn’t hear what he wanted to hear and Twitter got the brunt of it.

Still, watching the drama between two celebrities unfold always makes for an exciting evening.

He began his long explanation, which was made up of more than 80 tweets, with the words ‘Drake called trying to threatened me [sic]’, and issued a warning that if anything were to happen to his family, Drake should be the first suspect.

He wrote:

So drake if anything happens to me or anyone from my family you are the first suspect So cut the tough talk.

Ye never been easy. I navigated these waters before you. That’s why you could be you. [sic]

Clearly very insulted about the dig at his shoes, he continued with ‘don’t ever speak on 350s’, and implied he was the entire reason Drake’s career had taken off, writing:

There would never be a drake without a Kanye west so never come out your mouth with a threat. [sic]

Kanye accused Drake of bullying people with mental health issues and being the reason people got hurt at concerts, but made clear he would never physically fight him – remember, Drake appears to have an issue with this kind of contact sport.

Kanye issued another request for Drake to leave his family alone and tweeted ‘You threatened the safety of me and my family’, before finally reaching a dramatic conclusion to the narrative with the words ‘All love’.

I have to add, Drake didn’t tweet once during this entire ordeal.

While we only have Kanye’s word on the so-called threat, whatever was said was obviously enough to rile him up!

Kim had her say on the situation a few hours later, when she showed support for her husband in writing:

My husband is the most brilliant person, the most genius person that I know. He has broken so many boundaries, everything from music, stage design, fashion and culture and will continue to change the world.

While the issues between he and Drake probably aren’t going to be resolved any time soon, at least Kanye has Kim on his side!
