Never ones to do anything subtly, or miss an opportunity for first rate publicity, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott put on an epic party for their daughter’s first birthday.
In August last year we had Astroworld, Scott’s third album. But in February this year, fresh off the back of his appearance at the Super Bowl half time show, we get Stormiworld.
To celebrate little Stormi’s first birthday, the proud parents reportedly rented out the entire back lot of Universal Studios and transformed it into a theme park entirely dedicated to Stormi.
In a similar vein to Scott’s album cover, the entrance to Stormiworld is through the mouth of a giant inflatable Stormi, naturally.
Check it all out in the video below:
Inside there were special carnival rides, a ‘Butterfly Rainbow Forest’, hot air balloons, Baby Shark and – of course – ‘Stormi’s Shop’, where guests can purchase some exclusive merchandise as a souvenir of the special occasion.
The whole thing was shared on Kylie’s Instagram, where fans could see just how much was put on for the party, including custom made cakes, a guy serving pretzels that were dangling off his head, and fast food served in very fetching ‘Stormi’ containers.
For fans of the family, you’ll know Stormi’s birthday was actually February 1.
But what with her dad Travis being a bit busy performing at the Super Bowl and all, the family just threw a ‘mini’, rainbow-themed party on the day, and waited until now for the big bash, according to TMZ.
Getting in on the action and shouting his name over the top of everything, was DJ Khaled, who gave Stormi a very special present – and something all one-year-olds definitely need – a mini Chanel bag.
Playing fast and loose with caps lock, Khaled wrote:
My brother @travisscott and his queen @kyliejenner invited me to Stormi BDAY PARTY. AS A FATHER I KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO GIVE OUR KIDS THE BEST LIFE AND THE BEST BDAY PARTYS !
MY SON AND QUEEN wasn’t in town so I came to represent for the KHALED FAMLIY and wish STORMI HAPPY BDAY ! GOD BLESS YOU ! LUV FROM THE KHALEDS ! [sic]
The carnival-esque Stormiworld looked like an epic party, and something I’m sure Stormi will remember for a long time.
To be fair though, your child’s first birthday should be celebrated, it’s a milestone when it comes to being parents – the most difficult but most rewarding job in the world. So happy birthday Stormi, and congratulations Kylie and Travis!
