Kylie Jenner’s lips have really been on a rollercoaster over the last few months. After having her lips plumped, then having the filler removed, the reality TV star has now changed her look once again by returning to fillers.
Kylie’s iconic enlarged lips encouraged a trend of lip plumping, with many people following in the model’s footsteps and having cosmetic fillers done while others attempted a more homemade route by sucking on bottles in the ‘Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge’.
Kylie first admitted she’d had cosmetic lip treatment on Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2015, and maintained her plumped-up look until earlier this year, when she revealed on Instagram that she’d had her lip filler removed.
Though she didn’t mention her pout in the caption of the photo, one person commented saying she looked like the ‘old Kylie’ – presumably referring to a pre-lip filler Kylie.
Kylie responded to the comment, admitting:
I got ride of all my filler [sic].
Many of Kylie’s followers were quick to share their approval of Kylie’s natural look after the revelation.
One person wrote:
You look beautiful with your natural lips!
While another supportive fan added:
Loving the natural look. So breath taking ky. Keep it coming
Despite her new/old look being met with lots of praise from fans, it seems Kylie has now changed her mind about having smaller lips and opted to plump them up again just three months later.
The KUWTK star shared a picture to her Instagram story today (October 10), with the caption:
Thanks @pawnta for coming through late last night with a lip touch up!
Is late night lip plumping a thing now? Is it how rich people spend their evenings?
Take a look at her freshly filled lips:
The 21-year-old tagged Pawnta Cosmetic Dermatology in the photo, who went on to share the picture with the caption:
Love the natural lip-pout I’ve created for this beauty queen @kyliejenner. It was a pleasure to see you again.
Speaking on her spin-off show The Life of Kylie last year, the young entrepreneur revealed why she’d started filling her lips in the first place.
She explained:
I was 15 and I was insecure about my lips. I have really small lips. And it was like one of my first kisses and a guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you would be a good kisser because you have such small lips.’
She continued:
But I took that really hard. Just when a guy you like says that, I don’t know, it just really affected me.
I just didn’t feel desirable or pretty. I really wanted bigger lips. I would overline my lips with lip liner just to create the illusion of bigger lips. And then finally I was like this lip liner isn’t doing it. [I] ended up getting my lips done.
Who knows if the lip fillers will be here to stay? Watch this space, I know you can’t wait to find out.
