Looking Like Ed Sheeran Is Ruining This Guys Love Life

Usually looking like a celebrity has a lot of plus points.

Adulation, fame and a lot of attention from the opposite sex are almost guaranteed, except for that guy that looked like Shia LaBeouf– that didn’t end well really.

But apparently for this Ed Sheeran lookalike he’s having zero luck with the ladies because of his uncanny resemblance to the Lego House singer.

Ty Jones claims he’s struggling to find a girlfriend because he looks just like Ed Sheeran- sounds a bit like bullshit to me.

The Mecca Bingo worker, from Sale, Manchester, is essentially Ed’s doppelgänger and is even the same height as the pop star.

Due to his uncanny resemblance to Ed, the 21-year-old claims that he also struggles to leave the house because people are also wanting to chat to him and know if he’s the real mccoy.

Speaking to The Mirror, Ed (shit, I mean Ty) said: 

When Ed became really famous I had people always coming up to me and talking to me and wanting my picture – it was crazy. He’s such a big artist and I’m a massive fan of his but now it’s like I can’t escape it, people go mad when they think they’re meeting Ed Sheeran.

Ty appeared on Channel 4’s show Lookalikes last year, but claims that he finds it hard to tell if women actually even like him for who he is or are just looking for the next best thing to the pop star.

He added:

It’s made my relationships worse I’d say because now I have to weigh up if they like me for me or are they’re just interested in me because I’m the next best thing to Ed if they really like him. When girls ask me for pictures in the streets it’s annoyed some of my girlfriends in the past and caused problems. It’s hard to explain because it’s not like I can help it and I don’t like being horrible to people and deny them a picture if they want one.

The one good thing that did come out all of this is the fact Jones met Sheeran back in 2012 and said the pair hit it off.
