A deli-counter worker from New Jersey claims to have had numerous romantic liaisons with extraterrestrial beings – which have resulted in alien babies.

74-year-old David Huggins believes he has been visited by aliens since he was just eight-years-old, with his first encounter happening at his parent’s farm in Georgia.

Things began to escalate when he was 17, resulting in him losing his virginity to a female alien called Crescent, while out in the woods.

Unlike many teenagers who pop their cherry outdoors, this was the beginning of a committed – yet deeply ‘unconventional’ – relationship between David and Crescent which would bear many children – hundreds in fact, he claims.

Now a new documentary – Love and Saucers – is bringing this great, untold love story to our screens. This mysterious and thoughtful doc explores David’s extraordinary experiences, which he has told since 1987 through his detailed, often explicit artwork.

David’s paintings depict his erotic and sometimes traumatic experiences with his alien visitors – in a style reminiscent to that of The Scream artist Edvard Munch.

Director Brad Abrahams spoke to UNILAD about his experience working alongside David:

Working with David was a pleasure. He immediately disarms you with his plain spoken, down-to-earth, and caring manner.

After filming he would periodically call me to ask how my parents were doing once I mentioned they had health issues.

He would ask how all the crew were as well. Very sweet. The only frustrating aspect for a filmmaker is that he is a little *too* plainly spoken, so that I really had to work to get him to muse more philosophically beyond just the details of the story.

In this revealing documentary, David speaks about his first sighting of an otherworldly being, which he unflatteringly describes as being a ‘little hairy guy’ with ‘glowing eyes’.

However, he came across various types of aliens include ‘insect-like’ creatures and ‘little greys’ – which he viewed to be the worker aliens. Are we getting an insight into the looks-based hierarchy of an imbalanced alien nation?

Luckily for David his lover Crescent appears to be a supermodel among aliens.

In the documentary David speaks fondly about Crescent, who is shown in his paintings to be be a slender, narrow-faced alien with the body of a human woman:

There was something very beautiful, something lovely about her. She had a very nice body. The only thing that was different about her was that she had very long fingernails and she had these very large eyes, and her face was very pale.

My relationship with Crescent was warm and friendly and a little strange … she was my girlfriend, really.

He recalls their first passionate encounter as being ‘very intense’:

I was walking in the woods, and I see a woman sitting under a tree – and she gets up and she starts coming towards me.

I become very aroused sexually; I couldn’t get my pants down fast enough. I fall back on the ground and I’m lying there and she’s looking at me, and I reach my climax, which was quite painful, actually; it was very intense.

And then I’m looking in her eyes and I pass out … Virginity lost.

As with everything in their intergalactic relationship, the announcement of the birth of their child was more than just a little bit quirky:

I was doing some painting, and then all at once the wall opens up and there’s Crescent. And she’s very stressed out and she says, ‘David, the baby’s dying.’

And I go, ‘Baby? What baby?’ ‘Your baby, but it’s dying.’ And I say, ‘Show me my baby!’ At first she wouldn’t do it, and I had to yell it out three times, really loud: ‘Show me my baby!’

She picks the baby up out of some container and holds it out in front of her, and the baby’s just like dangling. And I say, ‘No, no, no – don’t hold the baby like that. Cradle the baby in your arms … Listen, I’ve got to come there.’

This emotional revelation led to David being able to enter another realm, simply by passing out on his bed:

The next thing I know I’m ‘there’. The insect being comes over and he’s rather upset with me. He says, ‘what are you doing here?’ And I say, ‘My baby’s dying, I want my baby.’

And I see Crescent holding the baby; the baby’s not moving – and I reach over to touch it, and just as I touch it, like static electricity jumped from my body and to the baby – and the baby moved.

This eerie place comes complete with a baby room, full of David’s offspring, who he hadn’t even known about:

The insect being is looking at me, and he says, ‘Come with me.’ And we go into another room filled with babies, and I’m looking at them – and I say, ‘Oh my god, whose babies are these?’ He points to me.

I wasn’t so much as creeped out as I was surprised. I could not believe it, but they were my babies and I had to help them so I wound up touching them all.

David is hoping this documentary will spark viewers to think in a more open way about such experiences, which he believes affects many more people from all around the world.

Abrahams also shares this hope telling UNILAD:

Regardless if you believe the objective reality of what happened to him, I’d hope after seeing the film one wouldn’t be so quick to judge him, and others.

It’s enough to believe that he is telling the truth as he knows it, and if you can make that leap, it opens up a fascinating discourse on the nature of reality, belief, and mystical experiences in a historical context. There are definitely kooks out there. But David isn’t one of them.

He added:

There are definitely many who claim to have had close encounters, but David’s story seems unique.

The sheer number of encounters (over 100), as well as the fact that he pretty much enjoyed it all. And would even go so far as to say that he’d sometimes rather be with them than in our world.
