The London Underground has a well known rule when it comes to using the escalators. Stand on the right, walk on the left. Simple, right?
But of course, we’ve all been tempted at some point to take a cheeky shortcut and slide down the shiny metal barrier. However, this video will probably remind you why it’s a pretty stupid idea.
In this painful clip, a group of lads try to encourage each other into sliding down. Suddenly, one man steps forward and takes on the challenge.
He mounts the barrier and whizzes down. It looks like it’s going so well, right until he ironically collides with a warning sign which is reminding customers to ‘stand on the right’.
It sends him flying off the railing and lands on his back on the escalator. Understandably, everyone starts pissing themselves laughing.
The video was posted to Facebook by David Bailey, where it has been viewed more than 29,000 times.
Well, that escalated quickly (sorry).
