29-year-old Joey Morris from Maryland, USA, has been in love with his RoboTroll after falling for its ‘popping’ pink hair and ‘satisfied smile’.

Now planning his future with the figure from the BattleTrollz collection, Morris will be taking RoboTroll on holiday to Florida adding ‘a wedding could be on the cards one day’.

RoboTroll came into Morris’ life when he ordered him on eBay in December 2017, and the pair have been inseperable ever since.

Explaining that’s when their ‘relationship truly began’, Morris said:

My love for these objects never lasted as long as my love for RoboTroll, who is my current primary love.

I found RoboTroll while I was doing research into the line of BattleTrollz to satisfy my interest in 90s nostalgia. The website I was looking at showed me the entire collection of all of the trolls, and when I saw RoboTroll I was smitten.

I think it was his expression that attracted me to him – while most of the other BattleTrollz snarled, RoboTroll seemed to have a satisfied smile. His blue eyes matched his silver and blue colour scheme and made his pink hair really pop.

I knew it was love with him because it made my heart feel right.

As Morris mentioned, he has been attracted to objects before, first realising he was objectum when at 10 years old he wanted to make friends with a lamp at school.

When his teacher ‘found out about [their] relationship’, the lamp was taken away from Morris leaving him ‘distraught’.

He then moved onto a Halloween figure called ‘Donna the Dead’ and the Transformer truck Optimus Prime.

While Morris is supported by many of his friends and family, he admitted some do not agree with his sexuality.

I am very lucky as my friends and some members of my family accept my sexuality – and even though they make joke comments about it, they support me. My mother doesn’t really understand my feelings, but she accepts it all the time.

However some people haven’t agreed with it – I have been told that my preference is a mental illness and some have even likened it to bestiality.

I try to ignore these people and distance myself from them, as I’m happy in my relationship with RoboTroll. I find it easier to form romantic bonds with objects rather than people, so I’m happy with my sexuality.

As long as you and RoboTroll are happy Joey, that’s all that really matters.
