A man whose micropenis became a hot topic on Reddit is considering suing his wife for revealing his secret.
The unnamed woman turned to some of her nearest and dearest for advice after her husband gave her the little surprise on their honeymoon, when the couple were set to sleep together for the first time.
Of course, by ‘nearest and dearest’, I mean strangers on the internet. Because where better to share intimate details about your new husband.
The bride posted her story on Reddit, where she explained her partner wanted to wait until they were married before having sex because he was ‘old fashioned like that.’
After dating for six months, the pair got engaged and tied the knot after another six months. All the while the man avoided stripping off in front of his girlfriend.
When their honeymoon rolled around however, it was time for the newlyweds to bare all.
Explaining what happened in the Am I the Asshole subreddit, the surprised wife wrote:
Newlywed husband (32M) wanted to wait til marriage for sex and just surprised me (27F) with micropenis on the honeymoon.
Just got married on Saturday. I literally just got back from my honeymoon a couple hours ago. My husband isn’t a religious guy, he just says he is “old fashioned like that.”
We got close to fooling around a couple times but it never went far. I tried, but he always stopped after it went “too far”. Anyway, fast forward to now…
The post continued:
Am I the a**hole for reading into this and being upset that I waited until my wedding night to find out that he probably isn’t as “old fashioned” as he says he is?
I’m not going to shame him and honestly I don’t even know how I’ll broach the topic (and I’m not seeking advice).
I honestly just acted like nothing was out of the ordinary and went to town with him, but…I dunno. I kind of feel lied to.
Like a halftruth…or something was intentionally withheld from me. This was unexpected, to say the least.
The story quickly gained lots of attention, and one person shared it to Facebook, where unfortunately the husband in question came across it.
Though his wife didn’t give away any names, the man is terrified people will work out the post is about him, and is threatening to sue and leave his wife as a result.
The worried woman shared an update to Reddit – which admittedly probably wasn’t the best idea, considering that’s what started this whole situation in the first place.
According to The Mirror, she wrote:
My husband saw my post and says he wants to leave me and sue me? Says he wants an annulment and is considering suing me for defamation of character.
He says it’s only a matter of time before someone leaks his name.
He saw the post through an old friend of his who knew he had a micropenis and saw on his FB that he had just gotten married.
He doesn’t know who else the guy has told to link him to it. I feel like I am the a**hole. He is crushed that I posted about him.
The Reddit user went on to explain she eventually confronted her husband about his secret, and he admitted he was afraid of being gossiped about. Unfortunately it seems his fears have come true, thanks to the post.
She continued:
I confronted him last week about intentionally keeping this from me and he said he was sure I would leave him if I knew about the size prior to the wedding.
And that he wanted to talk before the wedding but feared it being called off because of his micropenis and said if both families found out/gossiped about it he would be crushed.
The post ended:
Which is basically what I did with the entire world via reddit, but he didn’t know this until last night because I never told him that I posted on reddit when we talked.
I think the moral of this story is, don’t share concerns about your partner with the entire world. It’s better coming from you than from Facebook or Reddit.
Hopefully the pair will manage to work out their problems – without the help of the internet.
