In case you missed it, Margot Robbie got married yesterday.

To the deafening sound of hearts breaking around the world, details from the private affair have been revealed and they are everything we’ve come to expect from the down-to-earth actress.

The 26-year-old married her long-term partner, British director Tom Ackerley, surrounded by 100 close friends and family members and in a happy twist on the modern celebrity marriage, no press were allowed.

The secret affair took place at a Coorabell location, 15km outside Byron Bay on Australia’s Gold Coast, where Robbie grew up on her grandparents’ farm.

Staying true to the theme of nostalgia, Robbie opted for a menu straight from the pages of the perfect 12th birthday party.

The newlyweds served their guests pizza and, eschewing the traditional wedding cake, gave guests the chance to dine out on Coco Pops (known as Cocoa Krispies in Australia) for dessert.

A source said to the Northern Star the wedding was a beautiful but casual affair.

The bridal party were all barefooted and the venue was scattered with wildflowers and hay bales for those present to lounge on.

After, guests enjoyed the bowls of Coco Pops accompanied by a choice of milk or cream, which were placed around the dancefloor and treated to cocktails by the pool.

While the characters she plays range from the sociopathic Harley Quinn to the glamorous second wife of The Wolf of Wall Street, it seems Margot Robbie has stayed true to her roots and managed to avoid becoming jaded by her well-deserved success.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!
