Mia Khalifa has revealed she’s engaged to her long-term boyfriend Robert Sandberg, in an adorable Instagram post.
The 26-year-old made the announcement on social media on Thursday (March 14), saying the surprise proposal came during a meal intended to celebrate Robert, from Sweden, getting his visa.
However, Robert instead got down on one knee and proposed to Mia, who admitted she never saw the proposal coming.
Take a look at the adorable couple below:

Shortly after posting the initial photo, in which she jokingly said she was ‘trapped’, the 26-year-old posted more showing how the romantic night unfolded.
Rather than celebrating Robert getting his visa, which is what the Lebanese social media personality was led to believe, Mia was overcome with emotion when her bae popped the question.
Mia wrote on Instagram, addressing her 14.3 million followers:
Robert has planted the seed so deep in my mind for so long that he hates restaurant proposals so I never, EVER, saw this coming. I love y’all so much! Thank you!
The happy couple’s big moment nearly went horribly wrong though, with chef Robert explaining on social media shortly after Mia had said ‘yes’.
Posting the same loved-up picture as the 26-year-old, Robert wrote:
We went to Chicago this weekend and had a wonderful dinner at Smyth. I proposed to @miakhalifa and she said YES!
The ring was hidden in a bowl of dried ingredients and came out as a ‘new serving’. Mia was to curious and to eager to taste so she started to eat the inedible ingredients.
I told her not do it and then I put the ring on the finger. I love you so much
To be fair, it sounds like something that would happen to me; if something that looks like food is brought out to the table, why wouldn’t you try and eat it?!
This will be Mia’s second marriage; she was previously married to her high school sweetheart, tying the knot in 2011 when she was just 18.
The 26-year-old has been with Robert since 2018, and they’ve been very open about their relationship on social media.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
