Mia Khalifa went under the knife to get her ‘uneven’ breast corrected after it ‘deflated’ when she was hit by a hockey puck.

The 26-year-old was watching a Washington Capitals playoffs game last summer when the six-ounce puck came flying towards her and smashed into her chest.

At the time, Mia shared a picture on Instagram with the caption:

Also, I got hit in the boob with a puck during the game, and I’m 80% sure it ruptured an implant. But the good news is, I got a game used puck from a Capitals Stanley cup playoff game. Worth it.

Speaking to the Daily Star about the painful mishap, the social media personality explained:

I was sitting behind the glass during a game, and it came shooting over the glass and it caught me so off guard and I had no idea it was coming.

I grabbed my chest and I didn’t want to let go, because I felt like if I did let go, blood was going to be everywhere.

I got to take it home, it was the single greatest souvenir any hockey fan can get: a game-used puck that comes at you and hits you.

She went on to say she’d be having surgery to fix the damaged implant, saying:

[The pucks are] really heavy, it’s pure rubber, they go at about 80 mph. My left breast is slightly deflated now and I will be getting it fixed next year.

Now ‘next year’ is well and truly underway, and yesterday (February 25) Mia took to her Instagram story to show how the puck had damaged her breast:

Although it ‘deflated’ her breast in the process, it seems like the implant saved Mia’s life as it took the brunt of the hit from the high-speed puck. The 33-year-old revealed yesterday was surgery day, and that Dr Jay Calvert had successfully corrected the issue.

She posted a series of pictures updating followers on the process:

Following the surgery, Mia told her followers it ‘couldn’t have gone smoother’ and praised the doctor and his team for their work. She later added how she was in pain as the numbness wore off, but her boyfriend Robert Sandberg appeared to be taking good care of her.

Hopefully her recovery will go smoothly and she doesn’t come across any stray hockey pucks ever again!
