New footage has emerged of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth celebrating with friends and family, sparking speculation that they have got married.
The footage of the couple celebrating comes just days after it was rumoured that they were due to wed in a secret ceremony.
And now it seems those rumours may have been true, as their close friend Conrad Carr took to Instagram to share a picture of the couple cutting a cake together.
The picture appeared on Carr’s Instagram story, alongside a video of Hemsworth and his family (including brother Chris Hemsworth) doing a row of shots.
In it, 26-year-old Miley can be seen wearing an ivory, off-the-shoulder, wedding-style dress while 28-year-old Liam is standing behind her, dressed smartly in a black suit.
Both of them are standing in front of a white cake and are holding a large knife as their families surround them holding cameras.
Further adding fuel to the fire, celebratory giant balloons can be seen in the background of the video shared by Carr, spelling out the words ‘Mr & Mrs’
As reported by the Daily Mail, the couple exchanged vows in their home in Franklin, Tennessee – it really was a Party in the USA, hey – contrary to initial speculation that they were planning to get married in Liam’s native Australia.
Miley’s mum Trish also joined the party, along with Liam’s actor brothers Chris and Luke – making the occasion a true family affair.
Miley and Liam’s relationship hasn’t necessarily been smooth sailing, with reports of the couple breaking up and getting back together over the years.
They first met back in 2009 and got engaged in 2012, but broke up the following year. A few years later, though, they rekindled their flame and got back together in 2016.
However, it was rumoured the pair had broken up earlier this year, following reports that the Hunger Games actor was eager to settle down and have children with Miley, but she wasn’t quite ready for that lifestyle.
According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the couple said at the time:
He wants kids and doesn’t want to keep putting it off but it’s not quite the timeline Miley had in mind… he is left heartbroken.
Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it… They haven’t been getting along in recent months.
The source added:
[She] didn’t really want to get married. It’s something that everyone else seemed to get but Liam. [His] family had been begging him to see the light for a long time, but he had faith in Miley. Now he feels like an idiot.
Last year, the singer said that getting married was not a priority for her. Recently, Miley deleted all of her photos from Instagram, sparking yet more rumours surrounding the couple’s status.
But now it seems the pair are more loved up than ever, and have eventually tied the knot surrounded by their loved ones.
Congrats, guys!
