The Super Bowl this weekend has suddenly become the second most important face-off this week after this new ad just dropped.
The incredible commercial, which some fans have dubbed the ‘greatest advert ever’, shows Game of Thrones’ own Peter Dinklage and God of everything Morgan Freeman going head-to-head in an epic rap battle.
The two actors are backed in their respective corners by two titans of the snack and refreshments industry, with Dinklage repping the Doritos Blaze and Morgan Freeman standing up for Mountain Dew Ice.

It’s a fierce battle of fire and ice in which we see the legends go at it for their teams, with team Dinklage turning up the heat with Busta Rhymes’ verse in ‘Look At Me Now’ – with help from Busta himself.
Not one to be burned without an appropriate response, Freeman is typically ice-cold in his rendition of Missy Elliott’s ‘Get Ur Freak On’, and God it’s cool.
Does this confirm the theory Peter Dinklage’s character in Game of Thrones, Tyrion Lannister, is in fact a Targaryen? He does display an amazing affinity with fire in this video.
While we’re on the subject, how incredible would Morgan Freeman be as one of the White Walkers? Someone please make this happen.
Missy Elliott was super impressed with Freeman’s version of her track, telling EW:
Oh man, amazing. It was amazing. I did that record years ago and I couldn’t imagine in a million years that over a decade and some change later that it would be part of a Super Bowl commercial.
I couldn’t imagine that. I couldn’t tell you that, “Oh, this is going to be a part of a Super Bowl commercial in 2018.” Like, no! But it was amazing to see.
Personally, while it’s difficult to say there’s anything better than Morgan Freeman narrating something, Dinklage’s rap comes out on top thanks to the intense tongue twister.
Fans have different opinions, though, but all are agreed that this is one of the best Super Bowl ads ever.
