Kennedy News and MediaWe all have fun memories of holidays we would like to preserve forever. However, one mum has taken things a step further, actually changing her name as a tribute to her Magaluf getaway.
Lisa Bell, from Blackpool, Lancashire, changed her surname to ‘Cameltoe’ in reference to a tattoo of a camel she’d had inked on her big toe during a boozy girls’ trip in 2014.
40-year-old Lisa greatly amused herself by approaching men at her hotel and enquiring whether or not they’d ‘like to see her cameltoe’. She quickly became the talk of the strip, and the joke apparently didn’t become any less funny after she’d flown home.
Kennedy News and MediaOnce the cheeky cleaner was back in Blackpool, she decided to pay up £40 to have her surname legally changed from Bell to Cameltoe.
Her official documents – including her chequebook and tax account – now bear her rude new name. Lisa even had to inform her employers of her daring decision. Fortunately, they didn’t get the hump with her.
Lisa apparently still gets the giggles when bills are delivered to ‘Lisa Cameltoe’, and has revealed she was originally going to change her name to ‘Iva Cameltoe’, but was persuaded otherwise by more sensible friends.
Lisa said:
It’s so funny. I’ve never regretted it and I still love it. I was going to change my full name to Iva Cameltoe – my first name was going to be Iva – but my friends convinced me to stick to just the surname.
It’s not on my passport yet because it hasn’t needed renewing yet. I can’t wait to get that now. I’m even Cameltoe at the tax office.
I still laugh when bills come through the door with my surname on them, or when I receive phone calls, because you can tell they think it must be a mistake. They say Miss Camelio or something like that.
Kennedy News and MediaGoing forward, Lisa is reportedly looking forward to showing off her unique name all across the world once her passport is renewed.
Lisa continued:
My passport is up for renewal soon and I can’t wait to get in the name of Cameltoe, then I will book a package holiday with private transfer so some Spanish man has to stand with a board with the name Cameltoe on [at the airport].
Recalling the holiday which inspired her new name, Lisa said:
I was going up to groups of lads saying ‘do you want to see my cameltoe?’ The next day when I was walking down the strip, everyone was shouting ‘cameltoe!’ at me.
I came home and changed it by deed poll. It’s been that ever since. My current boss found it absolutely hilarious when I told her. She found it funny.
Kennedy News and MediaHowever, not everybody found Lisa’s naughty tattoo to be quite so hilarious, with her son reduced to tears by the thought of his own surname being changed to something so daft.
Lisa said:
My son was really embarrassed by me. When I came back and changed my name, my son was in tears because he thought his would change too. He wasn’t impressed.
He’s a bit more sensible than me. I don’t think he knew what Cameltoe meant at the time.
Kennedy News and MediaCurrently single, Lisa hopes to pass on the name Cameltoe, ensuring future generations will bear her Magaluf legacy.
Lisa has declared:
I said at the time I wanted to get a boyfriend and have lots of Cameltoe babies.
If ever I get married, the man would have to take my name so we don’t go extinct. At the time I researched it and there was no-one else in the world with my name.
This apparently hasn’t been the only hi-jinx Lisa has got up to tattoo-wise. The year after her cameltoe tattoo left her creased up with laughter, Lisa and a friend reportedly both got fish tattooed on their fingers and encouraged people to ‘smell my fish finger’.
