Mum Discovers 25 Bite Marks On Baby Daughter After Coming Home From Nursery

A mum was horrified to discover her baby daughter was covered in dozens of bite marks after spending a day at nursery.

Alice Bryant, from Arizona, USA, enrolled her 15-month-old daughter Rosalynn into a new nursery, called Creative Beginnings Daycare, after the family moved to Tucson.

The young girl had only been at the daycare for five days, but when she returned home one day her mum discovered aggressive, red bite marks covering her daughter’s back as she changed her clothes.

Speaking to KOLD News 13 about the incident, Alice said:

It’s stomach-turning. It feels both angry and sad at the same time. At first, I was like ‘are those really bite marks?’ And then, my brain kind of stopped thinking and I started crying.

The fact they didn’t notify me even when I picked her up is just astounding.

The angry mother shared a post on Facebook, warning other parents not to take their children to Creative Beginnings. She accused the establishment of negligence, and notified the Department of Health.

Please share. We just EAS’d and moved to Tucson. Within 5 days of starting her new daycare my daughter was bit 25+…

Alice continued:

I know that a child getting bitten that many times would be crying and very upset.

You always want to protect your children and I feel like that didn’t happen. I feel like I left her with someone that didn’t look out for her at all.

The fact that nobody intervened in how many minutes, maybe they were left alone, maybe they disregarded the cries, I don’t know, but it takes some time to do that kind of biting and my daughter would have been very upset.

Police believe the marks, which were discovered in February, were caused by another child. Although Alice notified the Department of Health and the police, as of April 29 the mother had received no updates about the situation.

She wrote on Facebook:

I filed a police report for negligence and notified the Department of Health who handles daycare accreditation, the case has is still under investigation, but it’s been two months with no word and neither department contacted me with updates, and I signed up for victim notification.

Do not take your children to Creative Beginnings Daycare, it is part of an international organization and the one here in Tucson is accredited by the state. They did not even call when it occurred, or notify me when I picked her up after work. All of these bites happened in one day.

In just two days, Alice’s post has been shared 11,000 times.

The Arizona Department of Health Services released a statement to Fox News, saying:

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) is investigating the incident at Creative Beginnings Daycare and working with law enforcement. The investigation is not completed and ADHS cannot comment on pending investigations.

Hopefully action will be taken against the daycare, who have failed to appropriately care for Rosalynn.
