In case you’re unaware, the world’s biggest aircraft is almost ready for takeoff.
Hybrid Aviation Vehicles (HAV) unveiled a fully-assembled Airlander 10 on Monday in a huge hangar north of London.
The 4,100 pound, 300-foot long aircraft is set to make its inaugural test flight in the upcoming months and is kind of a modern hybrid that mixes elements of an airship, airplane and helicopter.
Oh and it’s very environmentally friendly. It can stay in the sky for days without the need to refuel and produces smaller carbon emissions than the majority of commercial jets. And when it does finally land it can essentially land on any surface.
Nick Allman, HAV’s program director, told CNN: “We see it as the future. It’s going to be cheaper, it’s going to be greener, we’re going to be able to go to places we can’t go to and from now.”
All pretty impressive, right? Well, despite all this it’s its unique shape that’s getting everyone talking, with many comparing it to Kim Kardashian.
And to be fair you can kind of see the resemblance:
So, this is apparently what the world has come to, not: “Hey, look how impressive this jet looks!” But: “That looks like Kim Kardashian’s ass.”
