Ed Brody noticed what he described as ‘dubious scenes’ in one of the books before pointing it out on Twitter.
The illustrations in the book show character, Wilma, playing by a river – but it’s a little something taking place in the bushes behind that has people talking.

Three men, previously visible and talking quite innocently on one page seemingly disappear behind a bush.

A elderly lady arrives, looks into the bush and her hat and glasses fall off with a shocked expression on her face. What is that about?

I was taught to read with the Biff and Chip books. Knowing the artist snuck these little gems into them only gives me a deeper appreciation.
