Pete Davidson broke his silence on his split with fiancée Ariana Grande in a series of brutal jokes on stage at a comedy show.
The couple’s split was announced last week following their whirlwind romance which began in May. Just a few weeks after they started dating, Ariana and Pete had tattoos dedicated to each other and the singer was spotted wearing a flashy engagement ring.
Although TMZ reported the split was a mutual agreement, Pete still seems to be pretty salty about the whole situation, which he made clear when he made his first public appearance since the breakup at the Judd & Pete For America – A Benefit For Swing Left, in California on Saturday (October 20).

After the split, the comedian deleted all of his social media accounts and didn’t speak about the break up.
He cancelled a gig at at Temple University in Philadelphia last week, but managed to drag himself to Saturday’s event and immediately announced his lack of enthusiasm.
Although he didn’t mention Ariana by name, the reference to his ex was implied when he opened the show with ‘as you could tell, I don’t want to be here’, People report.
He continued to make jokes about the unfortunate demise of his relationship and made it clear he’d had to move out of the apartment he’d shared with the pop star, saying:
There’s a lot going on. Does anybody have any open rooms? Looking for a roommate?
Don’t worry though, while Pete no longer resides in the pair’s $16 million New York City apartment, he’s not entirely out on the street.
According to E!, a source said the 24-year-old is being supported by family:
He has a strong support system of family and friends around him that are keeping him laughing.
Thankfully, Pete has managed to find humour in his own rash decisions, which he spoke about on the comedy show.
Obviously regretting his decision to get permanent references to Ariana on his skin, the 24-year-old said:
What else is going on? Um, I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun. I’m f*cking zero for two in the tattoo [department].
Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mom tattooed on me, that’s how bad it is. So, obviously you know I, we broke up or whatever, but when me and her first got engaged we got tattoos.
And it was like in a magazine like, ‘Was Pete Davidson stupid?’ And 93 per cent of it said yes.
So, my boy, he was like, ‘Don’t listen to that sh*t man. They’re literally haters.’ And I’m like, ‘yeah, f*ck that. I’m not stupid.’ And the other day we were in my kitchen and he was like, ‘Yo, bro, turns out you were stupid’.
Hopefully Pete will opt for a less permanent way to show his love in the future – just in case. Henna could be a good way to go?
The comedian isn’t the only one trying to hide the inked evidence of the couple’s love, as Ariana was spotted last Tuesday covering up her ‘Pete’ tattoo with a plaster.
Co-host, Judd Apatow, praised Pete for appearing on Judd & Pete For America, to which Pete sarcastically responded:
Well, you put me on the flyer, I had to. F*ck my feelings.
Poor Pete. At least he’s managed to continue making people laugh by using humour to get him through his split!
