President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte was sexually abused as a child by a Catholic priest, a traumatic experience which now drives his bloody war on drugs.
Since taking office 100 days ago, Duterte has launched a bloody battle against drugs that has led to the death of 3,700 people.
With three million drug addicts, he said the war was crucial for the survival of the next generation in the Phillipines and didn’t ‘give a shit’ about human rights.
Despite international backlash against Duterte’s murderous methods, it was his brutal vow to kill drug dealers that made him so popular, with 80 per cent of the population claiming to be very happy with him.
Duterte also said he does not ‘give a s***’ about human rights, and dismissed the deaths of innocent civilians and children as ‘collateral damage’, the Daily Mail reports.
During his first interview since presidency, ‘The Punisher’ said to Al Jazeera:
We have three million drug addicts, and it’s growing.
So if we do not interdict this problem, the next generation will be having a serious problem.
You destroy my country, I’ll kill you. And it’s a legitimate thing. If you destroy our young children, I will kill you. That is a very correct statement.
There is nothing wrong in trying to preserve the interest of the next generation,
I do not care about what the human rights guys say, I have a duty to preserve the generation.
If it involves human rights, I don’t give a sh**.
He claimed he was ‘fondled’ by a priest while attending the Jesuit-run Ateneo de Davao High School in the 1950s, but was too scared to report it.
Due to Duterte’s extreme fear tactics, drug dealers and addicts are so terrified of being murdered that tens of thousands of them have turned themselves into police, while an additional 26,000 have been arrested.
The blood-thirsty president also happily drew similarities between himself an Hitler, saying:
Hitler massacred three million Jews, now, there is three million drug addicts. I’d be happy to slaughter them.
At least if Germany had Hitler, the Philippines would have [he then pointed to himself].
He also called Barack Obama a ‘son of a whore’…obviously international relations aren’t high on his agenda.
The president has encouraged civilians to take the law into their own hands which has resulted in many vigilante killings.
