Prince Harry’s Response To Popcorn Stealing Kid Is Brilliant

Prince Harry faced a popcorn stealer scenario at the Invictus Games, but handled it with way more chill than many of us would.

The pint-sized culprit was toddler Emily, daughter of veteran and former competitor Dave Henson, and her snack sneaking game was Olympic level.

Sitting on her mum Hayley’s knee at the Toronto based sporting event, the two-year-old could not give less of a fig about stealing royal popcorn during the semi-final volleyball game between the UK and Denmark.

His Highness made the rookie mistake of turning away for a chat, leaving the tempting treat unguarded. It was at this point crafty Emily went for the grab.

Hilariously, it took a while for Harry to twig what was going on and Emily managed to grab quite a few tiny handfuls before she was caught out.

Back in Henry VII’s day she would quite likely have been marched straight to the tower for such brazen high treason…

Fortunately, this modern royal is much more benevolent. People loved Harry’s equally adorable reaction to the little monkey, teasing her, pulling funny faces and eventually feeding her the popcorn himself like the fun uncle we know him to be.

The footage comes as Prince Harry‘s relationship with Suits actress Megan Markle reportedly ‘heats up’. The former wild child of the Windsor family appears much more chilled out as he hits his mid-thirties, and there is every chance he will be trading in his party days for family life with Megan.

Speaking recently with Vanity Fair, Megan spoke about her much publicised relationship with the famously mischievous prince:

I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple.

We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception.

Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.

After their first public appearance together at the Invictus Games, a sporting event for injured soldiers set up by former captain Harry himself, the pair seem more committed than ever and rumours are circulating about an engagement soon being on the cards.

(Side note: can you even imagine what Harry’s stag do would be like? Probably a hell of a lot crazier than his big brother William’s…)

Harry has already spoken about his hopes of starting a family, and this glimpse into his relaxed way with kids hasn’t gone unnoticed…

Surely little George, Charlotte and royal bump would love some equally regal cousins to run around the palace grounds with.

And glamorous Megan looks like she would fit right in as a new bestie for Kate (who, let’s face it, knows better than anyone how to plan the wedding of the century).

The big question is: will we be seeing a new mini prince or princess for Harry to play with any time soon?
