Of all the things you absolutely don’t want to see while sitting in a bar eating dinner, I’d say a rat has got to be up there.

Now, imagine you’re sitting in a bar and dead rat comes plunging from the ceiling, landing right on the table in front of you. Horrifying.

Alisha Norman was looking through the menu at Buffalo Wild Wings in Los Angeles, watching the Women’s World Cup when a rodent came falling from the ceiling on Thursday afternoon.

The 42-year-old claims the rat was still alive when it came hurtling down at one of the chain’s LA restaurants.

Posting photos of the now to be presumed dead rat on Facebook, she wrote:

So what do you do when a rat falls from the ceiling onto your table… really LA? I was just trying to watch the soccer game.

The science teacher had travelled to LA from her home in Houston, Texas, ahead of her 43rd birthday, and said the manager of the restaurant told her construction was to blame for the rat’s fall.

She told NBC News:

I knew the rat was going to be injured because it hit like a Mack truck.

You could hear something come down.

Alisha, who was watching the US national women’s team face Sweden in FIFA’s Women’s World Cup, recalled a manager coming over with two plates after she called for help.

The football fan continued:

He took two plates and then they just picked it up and dumped it in a bag.

It was terrible. It was disgusting.

Alisha says the restaurant offered her a free meal to compensate for the unusual dining incident.

After sharing her experience on Facebook, the teacher was inundated with comments from horrified friends who questioned whether the incident had really happened.

When asked why she didn’t immediately leave the restaurant, Alisha said:

Lmao… well I’m a science teacher and went to nursing school I’ve seen worse… But I got to see how they handle this bill.

Buffalo Wild Wings are yet to comment on the incident.
