Bosses at a retirement home hired naked naked butlers as a treat for elderly residents, because you’re never too old to appreciate some eye candy.
89-year-old Joan Corp inspired the bosses to hire the hilariously nude staff, who served 23 guests a three-course meal while wearing only aprons to hide their manhood, but still adding a hint of formality to the occasion with bow ties.
11 of the guests were residents at Milton Lodge, while I guess the other 12 were just people who came to enjoy the show.
Claire Martin, activities co-ordinator at Milton Lodge, explained how the situation came about:
Whenever you ask Joan what she wants that day she always says ‘a man’. So we weren’t surprised when she wanted it to be her wish.
We had a chat here and everyone was really keen to support it. We had a look online and found a company called Hunks in Trunks.
It sounds like a Baywatch spin off, but Joan and the other residents were certainly over the moon with having their butlers bare all. One of the residents even tried to steal one of the butlers’ aprons.
Claire continued:
When they turned up we had to let them know what we wanted them to do.
They had a three-course meal with a roast dinner. The ladies’ daughters and granddaughters came.
We asked them to do some harmless flirting, it doesn’t matter how old you are, so why not?
The ladies were really excited, they had all been giggling and they dressed up.
One of the residents in attendance, 99-year-old Doll Jenkins, couldn’t get enough of the men and has requested they return for her 100th birthday celebration.
Because what better way to celebrate having lived a century by having your dinner brought to you by some naked butlers?
82-year-old Gladas Smith, who also enjoyed the show, said:
It made quite a change and the boys done well. It was a good evening.
I like how she had to clarify having naked butlers serve the food made ‘quite a change’ – I’m pretty confident that’s not the usual retirement home dinner routine.
The butlers delivered more than just food, and made sure the residents were entirely relaxed by giving them all massages.
Claire continued:
They all had a massage, the butlers went around asking the ladies if they wanted a massage and they all said yes.
After it had all finished, Doll told the staff she wanted them back for her 100th birthday, so we are going to have them back.
They didn’t stop laughing the whole night, they absolutely loved it.
