Put your ‘New Year, New Me’ goals in the bin because Rodrigo Alves has shaved five centimetres off his face and nobody is going to beat that.
Known for his controversial appearance on last year’s Big Brother (2018), and his many, many appearances here on UNILAD for his regular cosmetic surgery trips, Rodrigo Alves aka the Human Ken Doll, is back around our ends because he’s been to see the cosmetic surgeons again.
Alves has decided to start 2019 with a new face, and has shared some rather grim looking pics after doctors removed 200 threads and fibrosis – the scarring of connective tissue – from his face. And you thought getting your holiday bod back in time for summer was a chore.
After five hours under the knife at Persian Beauty in Tehran, Iran, Alves is starting the new year with 5cm (almost two inches) of face meat removed from his mug.
Rodrigo believes that extra bulk has built up from previous surgeries. The procedure injects dissolvable threads to form a spider web formation which then tighten the face by stimulating collagen production.
It’s got so bad he says the inside of his face looks like ‘spaghetti and meatballs’. To be honest, I don’t really want to know what faces look like under the skin. Would’ve assumed it’d be something grizzly like that but there we go.
He’s had 700 of them injected into his face in the space of three years – with the last procedure four months ago – and has decided to go under the knife again to silence online trolls who’ve called him ‘pillow face’ and ‘potato’.
This will be Alves’ 69th time in the operating theatre and he’s spent more than £600,000 customising his body from pec implants to rib removal, Botox and a new nose, to name a few.
Rodrigo said:
I noticed my face was naturally starting to change – my lips were getting lower, my eyes, nose and cheeks were dropping.
On New Year’s Eve I looked at myself and thought ‘New year, new face’ and booked the surgeries.
But when surgeons opened up my face it was full of fibrosis that they had to remove, it took so long that they couldn’t replace my silicone chin implant.
It took them five hours for a revision face, eye and lip lift, and to remove all of the fibrosis and 200 threads inside my face.
He added:

Alves continued:
The thread lift procedures are advertised as a ‘face lift on your lunch break’ or in ‘half an hour’ but they don’t work.
I experimented with them as I have tried everything on the market for aesthetics, but they only made my face very hard and filled with a lot of blood.
I was told the threads dissolve over time, but also I have had the procedure done a lot of times so maybe my body just couldn’t handle it.
If you read the side-effects, they can create fibrosis, giving you lumps, for me personally I don’t believe the procedure helps at all.
I have to rest a lot now, my next surgeries have been put on hold, and I will need to keep taking my medication.
When I look in the mirror now my face is very round and stretched, my eyes are sliced and it’s very hard to move my face, it looks like a football.
Think I might just head to the gym… a few hours lifting weights, and the treadmill sounds like a doddle compared to that.
