Aside from his undeniable acting ability, Ryan Reynolds is known for his amazing tweets and online posts.

He regularly trolls his wife Blake Lively, and even uses his social media channels to drop posters and trailers for his upcoming films, and people can’t get enough of it.

But even better, when trolls online decide to pipe up on Reynolds’ posts about this or that, he won’t hesitate to step in and put them down.

That’s what happened yesterday when Reynolds posted a series of pictures of himself in character as Deadpool with children from the Make A Wish foundation.

The kids came to the set of the upcoming Deadpool 2 to meet their hero, and the pictures are incredible.

Writing on Instagram, Reynolds wrote:

Deadpool kicked Cancer in the taint, but these kids do it for real every day. These foundations make dreams come true for a lot of super-brave kids.

They also make dreams come true for parents, who just wanna see their kid smile.

People absolutely loved the message and everything about the post, it just kind of proved just how great Ryan Reynolds is, not that we didn’t already know that.

But as always, there was one naysayer who couldn’t help but point out that Deadpool is an R-rated movie and, as such, children shouldn’t be watching it.

The commenter wrote:

Guys Deadpool is R rated movie and those kids are watching it… I think something is wrong here…

Reynolds wasted no time in coming back to the comment, pointing out something very important about the children:

Yup. Deadpool is Rated R. If my kid went through a fraction of the sh*t these kids deal with daily, I think they can watch whatever they like.

That’s just my .02 cents.

Incredible. There’s not really any comeback to that.

These kids rely on moments like these to keep their strength for everything they have to deal with, and just because a film is R-rated it doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy an amazing day meeting their hero.

It’s Reynolds’ ability to remain sincere in these moments which set him apart from most A-list actors, but he can turn on the sass when he needs to.

Perhaps the most iconic example of this was his tweet to his wife on her birthday in which he unceremoniously cropped her out of the accompanying image.

He’s not above the odd tweet about his wife or kids either, he’ll regularly rip into them for the sake of some comedic gold.

Never change Ryan, never change.
