It’s fair to say that most of us have been tempted to throw caution into the wind and do something reckless when we’ve had one too many down the pub.
A decision that might cost you a few quid or give you the hangover of all hangovers, but Dexter Panashe, 20, took it up a level with his drunken spontaneity, after he and his two mates decided they fancied a holiday over a game of pool.

But rather than meticulously planning their trip away, they wanted to do it right there and then. What could go wrong?
Well, pretty much everything. The Newcastle-based business student and his mates headed straight home to pack, jump in the first cab they could to the local airport and like the clever students they are, spend the majority of their money.

And the amount they spent slowly creeped up. After spending £177 on a one-way flight, they then got a taxi and paid €55 for a triple hotel room.
Dexter Panashe/FacebookBut when they arrived something dawned on Dexter, he remembered he was due to give a presentation in a lecture the following morning. Fuuuuuuck!
So after just a few hours in Spain, he had to make a dash back to Salma Airport and begin an arduous journey back to uni.
Unfortunately, a flight back to Newcastle wasn’t on the cards anytime soon, so he had to fly back to Manchester Airport instead and fork out another £260 in taxi fares back to the North East. Ouch, that’s gotta hurt.
He finally made it back to his house at 3am and soon realised he was £700 lighter. Does he have any regrets though? Of course he bloody doesn’t.
Speaking to the Chronicle Live, he said:
I’m pleased I did it; I’m in a great place in my life just now. Maybe in a few days when I check my bank account I might feel differently, but right now I’d like to do it all over again.
