A teenager has revealed she is to marry a zombie doll that she shares an ‘intimate’ relationship with.
Felicity Kadlec, from Massachusetts, says she’s been in a relationship with ‘Kelly’ since she was 13, when she got her as a present.
Thanks to their ‘genuine connection’ Felicity now has her name tattooed down her arm.
She ‘found’ Kelly on a creepy doll collection website before being gifted her at age 13.
But it wasn’t until she was 16 years old that Felicity started to get feelings for her – something she tried to deny in herself.
She explained:
I have had boyfriends in the past, and I always thought that I was in love with them – but they never made me feel the way I do now.
We have a normal, intimate relationship which is progressing in the normal way – and we are getting married in September.
Our relationship was on and off since I was 16, because I would tell myself that it was wrong and break it off.
However, over the past year Felicity says she has come to terms with her feelings for the zombie doll and claims her love ‘cannot be changed.’
She got her name tattooed on her arm in the spring as she’s ‘always going to be a part’ of her heart – that ‘she is a part of me and no one can change that.’
She added:
I am intimate with Kelly – I caress her and feel safe with her, and I feel a genuine connection when I’m having an intimate moment with her.
Myself and Kelly are now set to get married in September, as it’s the same month as our birthdays, and I have even bought the rings already.
Unfortunately for Felicity, a whole lotta her friends and family are not exactly on board with her and Kelly’s relationship.
She said she gets a lot of different opinions about her relationship but ‘expects’ it. ‘I know there are some people out there who think I should be with a real human,’ Felicity said, ‘But to me Kelly is real.’
‘I do even receive criticism from my friends and family – if we go out with them they won’t let me bring Kelly with me.’
If they go for food she always has to stay inside the car otherwise people will stare at her. As a result, Felicity and Kelly have never been able to have a date in public.
Regardless of what other people think about her relationship, she says ‘[Kelly] makes me happy and I love her so that’s all that matters.’
I guess all’s fair in love and war, right? Does that quote apply here? I suppose yes and no. That’s half the fun with idioms, innit, that you often use them in the wrong context.
My mate was once told off for stroking our other mates’ cat in a way that made it uncomfortable and he ended up saying, ‘Oh you know what, if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen.’ Hilarious.
We wish Felicity and Kelly all the best.
