If you’ve ever wanted to live out a movie, now’s your chance, because the cottage which inspired The Holiday is up for sale.

The adorable little house was described by Cameron Diaz in the movie as a ‘fairytale English cottage’, and if that’s good enough for her, then it’s good enough for us.

While the set of Rosehill Cottage was created, along with the name, specifically for the movie, it was inspired by a real house which is now available on Rightmove.

With a name which gives Rosehill a run for its money in the adorable department, Honeysuckle Cottage lies in the village of Holmbury St Mary, near Dorking.

Diaz spent much of her time getting used to the tiny layout of the house after she escaped her fancy LA crib for the Christmas season in The Holiday, but luckily Honeysuckle Cottage doesn’t seem quite so cramped.

The house has three bedrooms along with a spacious living, dining room, and kitchen, though it still boasts a stone fireplace similar to the one which helped sell the cheated character on her visit to England.

If you really want to live out the life of Amanda Woods, the cottage even comes complete with a little garden gate at which you can pause and catch your breath before sprinting up the path to find the guy you’ve fallen for.

Though it would be your house, so I’m not sure why you wouldn’t just be in there in the first place.

Honeysuckle Cottage has an the arched doorway very similar to where Amanda met Graham (or ‘Graahm’, if you have an American accent) for the very first time, so while Jude Law unfortunately is not included, the house really is the perfect place for anyone who ever wished they could swap their house for the cosy English setup.

A description on the site reads:

A stunning extended period cottage with ironstone galleting and brick quoins under a tiled roof complemented by leaded light windows.

The property retains many character features including an inglenook fireplace with Jotul log burner and exposed timbers.

Features of particular note include the bespoke craftsmen-built hand-painted kitchen with oil fired AGA, underfloor heating to the ground floor and an extensive use of oak joinery throughout.

The property enjoys delightful landscaped gardens which incorporates an extensive area of flagstone laid terrace with lovely views.

If you claim you didn’t read that like Diaz’s character when she’s looking on the house swap website, you’re lying.

While Law isn’t likely to be knocking on your door in the middle of the night, there are two pubs in the village where the house resides, so you really could get someone begging to come inside for a wee.

Though, as life isn’t a rom-com, I probably wouldn’t let them in.

Honeysuckle Cottage is up for sale for £650,000, so if you really are keen to have a fairytale-like cottage in your life, get offering! But don’t just buy it for the movie link. It’s cute, but that’s a lot of money for a minor claim to fame.
