An American family has put a smasher of a social media strategy in place this holiday season. They have adopted a baby boy, filmed its new siblings reactions, and chucked the video online.
Courtney Solstad wrote on Facebook that the family of five welcomed little Nathan into their home last week through adoption.
Here’s a photo of the little lad chilling under the Xmas tree. No wrapping paper or card on him, though.
Her three girls have been excited by the prospect of adopting a baby. Chloe even wrote it down as a Christmas wish.
“Chloe’s Christmas wish has come true,” Mrs Solstad wrote on Facebook.
Here are the girls reactions when they found the tiny homo sapian sapian under the tree.
The girls knew nothing about Nathan until this. We met them at the door and told them that we had been out Christmas shopping and got them a gift to share…and it was under the tree! #Solstad6

The video of the human gift has over 200,000 views on Facebook.
“We prayed for big things and God has answered in big ways. Our little guy is so incredibly perfect.”
If you haven’t been able to detect a cynical tone in my writing to this point I’ll end on a very clear note now…
I personally find the idea of unveiling a person as an Xmas present fucking odd. I understand it’s a Christmas miracle, it’s a miracle, but I’m more than happy to be labelled a party pooper for finding it odd.
I can’t help wonder how conversations at school will play out.
Teacher: “Chaz, what did you get for Christmas this year?”
Chaz: “Chocolate stocking, games, pants!”
Teacher: “Mmm. How about the Solstad family?”
Solstad Girls: “Our parents bought us a perfect baby boy who has 50,000 Likes!”
*Teacher screams and claps in excitement. The Solstad’s win at show and tell. Again.*
