Following his completion of the legendary ‘triple – triple’ at the Rio Olympics, Usain Bolt has confirmed his status as the greatest Olympic sprinter of all time.

As a result of his unbelievable success, Bolt has gathered an absolute fortune in both prize money and sponsorship deals, with the most lucrative – Puma – reported to be worth an eye-watering $10 million (£7.6 million) each year until 2025, reports Business Insider.

In the year running up to the 2016 Olympics, Bolt earned a whopping $32.5 million (£25 million), so he’s not short of a bob or two to treat himself with and he’s the only track star to make Forbes list of highest paid athletes, coming in at number 32.

He earns around $10,000 (£7,500) for every race he wins in the Diamond League, but the big payout are the appearance fees of up to $400,000 (£305,000) per meet.

Another major source of income is Bolt’s character in the Temple Run mobile gaming franchise, which has more than a billion downloads.

But how does the fastest man on earth spend all of his hard earned cash?

Not just fast on the track – Bolt’s £80,000 ($105,000) black Nissan GT-R is one of his most lavish buys:

But not content with just the one, Bolt also owns a special-edition gold GT-R which was given to him by Nissan after he won three gold medals at the London Olympics:

But he also likes to travel long distances in style, often by private jet:

According to the Daily Mail, back in 2015 his neighbour, model Jodi Stewart-Henriques wrote on Facebook:

Between the bikes, loud, horrid music, parties and screams, I honestly wish he would go back to where he came from – he’s a horrible neighbour.

He also owns a house in Rum Cay Island in the Bahamas which he bought for an ‘unknown fee’:

Never one to miss a party, in 2015 he reportedly ordered £10,000 worth of vodka in a Mayfair nightclub and accidentally left without paying – but he did return the next day to settle up.

But as well as the parties and luxury purchases, he also gives back to the community.

He regularly donates sports equipment to his old high school in Jamaica and last year gave them a cheeky bonus of $1.3 million (£1 million) as a gift.

The star also gives to other community projects. In 2013 he gave $4 million (£3 million) to renovate a health centre in Jamaica.

Now 30, Bolt knows his speed won’t last forever. He’s planning to retire after the 2017 World Championships giving him even more time to spend his hard-earned cash.
