Throughout a romantic relationship there are certain levels of commitment that you will both have to eventually make.

Move in together, get engaged, get married, buy a house, have kids, that usual sort of stuff.

But despite all this serious malarkey that life inevitably throws at us, there’s just some things we can’t seem to commit to- like, just for example, committing to watching a season of a TV show together without one of you skipping ahead, while the other is out.

Lets admit it, ‘Netflix cheating’ is something we are probably all guilty of, but these days (and spoilers) could be gone for good with this new awesome invention which will make it impossible for us to watch our favourite shows without our partner.

‘Commitment rings’ are ultimately a marketing stunt created by Cornetto but, they say, they actually do work and have been partnered with streaming services like Netflix.

If you’re wondering how these things work, it’s quite simple really. Each partner wears a ring using Near Field Communication (NFC), which unlocks a streaming app on your phone and then allows you to watch your favourite shows with your S.O.

And they can’t even try and be sneaky and try to unlock it without you as it only works if both rings are near the phone at the same time. Happy days!

So yeah, only one ring basically means no Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for you.

But the flipside to this is that you can choose which shows you want to block – so if your girlfriend’s out and you want to watch Narcos, you can. That’s what we like to call a win win.

Best of all, they are also compatible with Amazon Prime, Hulu, Wuaki.tv and French service Yomvi.
