This creative single mum is winning at life after dressing up like a man so her son didn’t miss out on Donuts with Dad day at school – what a legend.
Yevette Vasquez rushed home to transform into a dad outfit after she realised Elijah’s classmates had all brought their fathers to school for the day.
In the humorous but heart-wrenching gesture, she explains how days like that can be hard for Elijah as he does not have a dad.

Today at my son Elijah’s school as I was dropping him off I asked him why there was so many cars… He said Donuts ? with Dad, so we quickly went back home cause I wasn’t about to let him miss out….. I know seeing other dads with their kids isn’t easy for mine but it’s life, at least I can do whatever it takes to put a smile on that face, so here it goes….. and please don’t hate I know I’m a woman and so do my sons.
She sported a fake moustache, checked shirt and baseball cap to complete her look.

Yevette said to CNN:
Most of the dads thought it was really cool.
They thought it was really supportive and sweet. I did feel the energy of a few men who weren’t as comfortable with it though.
He [Elijah] was really excited. He was shaking and said, ‘Thank you.’ I told him, ‘I did this for you so you can have fun.’
