For his cheesy grin and happy-go-lucky charm, it turns out it’s not beneath Smith to do the dirty and rinse his kids on social media. What’s the point in having kids if you can’t take the piss out of them, right?
You see Jaden did what many kids have done and will do for years to come. He tried to cut his own hair.
Hands up, I tried to do it once when I was about 10. For some reason I thought it would be easier if I put some gel in it first. It didn’t work. I got a trip to the barber’s out of it.
Actually, scratch that. I’ve done it twice. I thought I could use a pair of clippers on myself to save a few quid getting my short back and sides tidied up. That was 2012. Still a bit sore about that.
But that was a long time ago and my dad’s not Will Smith. Sucks for you, Jaden.

So, I come in the house. You know my son Jaden, I kiss his head and there’s a little hair in my mouth, so I begin walking around the house.
I start to notice little things. That’s strange. Scissors hanging out like that.
Cue: a rather embarrassed and cute looking six-year-old Jayden. Busted.
At the time of writing, 21 hours after the video was posted it’s racked up 4.2 million views.
willsmith/InstagramNow, I’m not saying Will Smith’s the kind of dad to not pay for his kids to go and get their hair cut. If anything, this is probably proof that Will Smith encourages his children to take life into their own hands.
Either way, hopefully kids of the future can learn not to repeat the same mistakes.
