There’s a few things you expect to see when you walk into Boots, like some cosmetics, medicines and usually a meal deal section. You don’t expect to see the Fresh Prince himself among the shelves.
Will Smith is known for his appearances on television as well as his blockbuster movie roles, and after a day working at a Boots store in Westfield, White City, London, it seems the star can now also add ‘shop assistant’ to his CV.
Will and his son Jaden have started a water company called JUST Water, which prides itself on being ethical and sustainable.
The JUST Water website reads:
Ours isn’t a perfect solution – yet. But it is a step in the right direction.
It’s a new model for valuing water in a world where water is increasingly scarce.
We consider the materials we use, where they come from and how they can be reused.
It is our mission to create better options for the things we need in our lives.
We started with water.
The brand uses bottles which are made of 82 per cent plant material, and water which is 100 per cent sustainably sourced.
JUST Water doesn’t have to be, well, just water, either, as Will and Jaden have also come up with some flavoured versions of the beverage – infused lemon, infused tangerine, and infused apple cinnamon.
The brand has been picked up in the UK by Boots, and in celebration of its launch, the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and Men In Black star made an appearance in the Westfield White City store yesterday.
Boots shared pictures of the actor’s visit, explaining:
This weekend we launched @JUST Water in 800 of our stores. Rather than plastic, the packaging is made up of 82% renewable resources and is made mostly of paper from FSC managed forests. @iWillSmith visited our Boots store in @westfieldlondon to tell our customers all about it.
On image showed the Hollywood star filling his shopping basket up with JUST Water bottles, and explained that Will had even been given his own staff badge for the day.
The caption read:
Yesterday Hollywood star, Will Smith visited our #London #WhiteCity store for the launch of his & his son’s new business, JUST Water At the launch, Will acted as a Customer Assistant with his very own badge! Will, if you want to join us full time go to www.boots.jobs
Will must have done a good job as shop assistant if the company offered him the opportunity to join the Boots staff permanently – though, I don’t think any of the customers would have been brave enough to make a complaint against the mega-star.
Will was also pictured checking out the opticians section of the store, perhaps on the hunt for some new glasses.
Unable to resist making the joke, the tweet read:
Look who paid a visit to our #WhiteCity practice this weekend Thanks for stopping by Will Smith, hope you found some FRESH new specs #FreshPrince #WillSmith
I’m sure JUST Water will be very popular – especially if it’s included in the Boots meal deal.
