Woman Brutally Shamed For Dress By Tinder Match

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Tinder is not for me.

Not that I’ve got anything against Tinder itself, it just seems to bring out the absolute worst in people and causes me to lose faith in humanity as a whole.

Giving me even more reason to hate online dating is one random guy who decided to take it upon himself to shame a girl about the dress she was wearing in one of her pictures.

Not only did this wannabe Romeo take the time out of his day to make someone feel shit about themselves, but he actually matched with her just to do that. What a guy (eye-roll).

The unknown man, known only as George, messaged Thea Chippendale, 20, on Tinder for the sole purpose of insulting her.

Sharing the exchange on social media, Thea, who is a student at Lincoln University, posted a picture of her in a dress alongside the words: ‘Men are trash’.

After matching Thea on Tinder, George wrote:

Not gonna lie you’re a bit of a joke but that dress in the last photo is not doing any favours. Hope this helps

I’m sorry, who does he think he is to be able to tell a complete stranger what she should or shouldn’t be wearing?! Red flag alert.

Once Thea replies saying, ‘excuse me,’ George replies in a quite threatening manner: ‘you heard!’

The 20-year-old, clearly shocked, asked the stranger why he felt the need to comment on her dress before asking if his head is ‘that far up your own arse that you thought your opinion mattered?’ Clap. Back.

George felt the need to continue with his awful behaviour though, writing:

Literally had to tell you else I wouldn’t of [sic] slept. It’s awful you not reckon? Charity shop job! I tell you what.. GROW UP! And shop somewhere decent! Thanks. Hope this helps.

Oh wow, thank you sooo much George for your inspiring words of wisdom. Now if you’ll just excuse me while I go vomit into a bag.

Thea’s tweet has since gone viral and has so far attracted nearly 95K likes, with many sending words of love and support to the student.

As per The Sun, Thea said she was quite upset and shocked when she first received the message, especially because she wore the dress to the wedding.

The 20-year-old said:

I was shocked about it going viral and I didn’t expect it at all, but I’m very appreciative of all the positive comments that everyone has been writing, it’s been so lovely.

While George hasn’t contacted Thea again, she said she’s aware he knows his comments have gone viral online.

Hopefully this will serve as a lesson to George that this kind of behaviour just isn’t okay.
