Break ups are never easy, and can send your self-esteem into meltdown.

Someone who understands the lows of heartbreak is 25-year-old Sian Ryan, from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

When her long-term boyfriend dumped her on a supposedly romantic weekend away to Brighton, Sian went through the whole roller-coaster of emotion that comes with the breakdown of a relationship: She spent inconsolable sleepless nights missing her ex.

Showing an heroic strength, Sian decided to use her insomnia to her own advantage and join a 24-hour gym so she could work out her upset overnight.

Throughout her teens, and during her relationship, Sian had been unhappy with her weight which had tipped the scales at 19 stone when Sian was at her heaviest.

Remembering what reality TV star, Khloe Kardashian has once said, Sian decided that ‘the best form of revenge is a good body’.

In fact, after 12 weeks of intensive late night work outs – which saw Sian enjoy her new slimmer physique and feel healthier and happier – revenge was no longer what she craved.

Now, 18 months gone and seven stone down, Sian has found health and happiness in her new fitness regime which has given her a new lust for life.

Sian told the Daily Mail:

I was so sad when we broke up but, actually, it was the best thing that could have happened to me.

Showing off her amazing transformation to thousands of Instagram followers, Sian added:

I would party all the time and eat junk. I’d drink litres and litres of sugary, full-fat cola and loved takeaway pizzas. I’d go to McDonald’s and get two portions of food. I never touched vegetables. It was never-ending.

But then when my boyfriend broke up with me out-of-the-blue, it changed everything. I was sad and worked out on my emotions at the gym. I wasn’t trying to win him back, I was trying to take my mind off him.

Inevitably, in taking her mind off her ex, Sian focused on herself and found some solace in ‘feeling strong’.

Now, her new love is the gym – and Sian is too occupied with her ‘fit fam’ and her weights regime to worry about petty revenge plots.
