Woman Immediately Dumps Boyfriend For Slut-Shaming Her Over Prom Dress

A woman preparing for her prom was slut-shamed by her boyfriend after showing him her new dress for the occasion.

Madison Witham, a high school sophomore posted screenshots of the text exchange on her Twitter profile leaving followers absolutely astounded.

The 16-year-old Lakeland High School pupil was so excited to show boyfriend the dress, she sent him a photo.

His response was not to be expected.

She messaged her now-ex boyfriend to say: ‘Sooo I found a dress.’ [sic]

When he replied to ask her to show him, she sent a black and white picture so as to not give the colour away before the big day.

The guy then had the audacity to reply:

Too much skin, get rid of it and I’ll get you a new one b. [sic]

‘It’s not too much skin, wtf,’ she replied.

And then he wrote back: ‘You look like a slut b. No offense.’

Understandably disgusted by her boyfriend’s cruel remarks, she wrote back: ‘I’ll stick with the dress and get myself a new man, bye.’

Yes!

Thousands of people came straight to her defence, with some offering to take her out and ‘treat her right’.

One person replied: ‘HELL YEAH GIRL SO PROUD OF YOU.’

Another added:

We love a queen that knows her self worth!!!!!!!!!

Somebody else chipped in:

Idk you but I’m so proud of ya for not letting any dude control your life! If he gonna judge ya like that he ain’t the one for ya.’

And offers of dates flooded in as well, with one writing: ‘If you need someone to give you a great night and treat you the way you deserve let me know. You deserve better than that. Respect.’

In response to the texts going viral, Maddie spoke to Insider and told them she had been blown away by all the support.

She said:

I put it on Twitter just to expose him and show how mean he was to me. I was so surprised when I saw that it went viral because I did not even mean for it to go viral.

Maddie also told the site she has absolutely broken up with her boyfriend and told her followers to be on the lookout for her dress which she will be posting a picture of on Instagram when the big day arrives.

Two prom-goers also recently went viral after they decided to shun the event entirely in favour of watching Infinity War on its release instead.

Avery, 19, and 18-year-old Rhiannon from Hickory, North Carolina, are just two movie fans choosing to skip their senior prom to watch a film.

Rather than wait a day to catch what happened when The Avengers assembled against big bad Thanos, the couple, who have been together for a year and a half, decided to miss one of the biggest nights in their teenage years as the film is that important to them.

The whole idea was Rhiannon’s as she texted Avery asking if he would like to ‘dress up, take the pictures and go see a movie’ which of course would be Infinity War.
