A video has surfaced of a woman who pins down a ‘sex pest’, strips off and rubs her bare breasts on his face as she holds him down.

The footage shows a woman handing out flyers confronting a man for allegedly pestering her in Ribeirao Preto city centre in south-east Brazil.

A crowd surrounds them as she shouts loudly, expressing outrage at being constantly harassed for just doing her job.

The man protests his innocence, claiming he was just out shopping with his wife, saying he hadn’t done anything wrong.

The unnamed woman then takes off her top and straddles the man, rubbing her breasts in his face.

This is met with a mixture of reactions from the crowd, with some cheering her on, and others condemning her.

One woman says:

This is absurd, there is no justification for doing this. How can you do this in front of children in the city centre? You’re disrespecting women with your actions.

The mixed reactions are exactly what was desired, as it is alleged the whole thing was staged by a theatre crew, according to the Daily Mail.

The stunt was performed in an attempt to bring awareness to the unwanted advances women can be subjected to when working in public places.

Fausto Ribeiro, director of the Confluencias group, who created the piece, said:

We wanted to expose and address something that happens every day to our sisters and female friends.

This was meant to challenge people’s perceptions and empower women with the shock tactic of retaliation.

We wanted to force men to think more responsibly about their actions and their consequences.

The video was made at the end of last year, but has since resurfaced amid the heightening Hollywood sexual abuse scandal.

According to reports in Brazil, the original video was deleted due to the controversy it courted at the time.

The video has been shared in the aftermath of allegations against film mogul Harvey Weinstein of systematic abuse of female actors in Hollywood spanning decades.

Harvey Weinstein has been accused of many incidents of gross sexual misconduct – including harassment, sexual assault and rape – by over 80 women.
