So they didn’t call you back. Maybe they were repelled by the way you speak with your mouth full? Maybe they were put off by the way you whine about your ex every five minutes?
However, there could be a much more flattering reason as to why they rejected your multiple attempts at a Facebook request. Maybe you are just too gosh darn attractive?
This is a plight which haunts 44-year-old Dawn Cousins from London, whose classic appearance on This Morning was refreshingly confident.
While many of us blame our inability to find a partner on our inherent character flaws, YouTube vlogger Dawn knows the real reason lies in her off-the-scale hotness.
Relating her situation to a visibly amused Phillip Schofield, the too-bewitching-for-love mum sighed:
Obviously, I’m a very attractive woman… I look very young. I’m very fun and I’m not your typical 44-year-old woman of four children.
So I’m finding younger guys are messaging me, wanting to take me out, but they just want me because I’m hot.
Then older guys, don’t put any effort into themselves, but yet they want me to send them pictures of me looking good and they want to look at my body.
Then they say, ‘Okay, I’ll go out with you’, but even if they don’t, they still want to go out with me because I look young for my age.
Nightmare. Dawn admitted this curse of gorgeousness has landed her in some pretty awkward situations. Even some of her kids’ friends have tried their luck, attempting to lure her with shopping trips.

An incredulous Phillip did not hold back when unleashing some harsh advice for the boastful mother, who claims she’s often mistaken for her daughter’s sister:
Being in a relationship and dating, it’s not all about looks, it’s about personality as well.
You are a very confident woman, there’s no question about that.
It’s going to be intimidating and I’ve really got to say unattractive, for a woman to be that confident and to say, ‘I am gorgeous, I am hot, I am too good for you’. Maybe that’s why you’re single?
Ouch. A stealthy burn from the Schofe. However, I can’t help but feel dating this self-assured woman would be a nerve shredding experience, youthfulness or not…
Dawn’s problems could well lie in her sky-high standards which no human man could ever hope to meet.
Although she insists she isn’t looking for ‘Mr Perfect’, she’s also specified the following strict requirements for her future soulmate:
I’m looking for a guy who’s willing to work on himself and just understand what a woman’s needs are.
I need everything. I need the full package. I need to be stimulated in my mind, every part of me needs to be feeling like a princess every day.
A devil-may-care romantic at heart, Dawn proceeded to declare:
I’m not going to live my life with someone I’m not attracted to. I could get a rich man. I’m not in denial.
I could get a rich man that’s got a nice job, but money does not buy me happiness.
All the best of luck Dawn. Here’s hoping you’ll find a man who’ll accept you, breathtaking radiance and all.
