FacebookA 21-year-old girl, who has been trying to get breast reduction surgery since the age of 16, has set up a crowdfunder for her debilitatingly large breasts.
Kya Granito is sporting a pair of 36-38 HH/Is which have caused her to suffer from back ache, tender breasts, low self esteem, as well as making her depression and anxiety worse.
She launched the £8,000 fundraiser at a time where she ‘can’t afford a bra because they’ve gotten so big’ and she’s beek stuck in the bath because of them.
FacebookShe described how the problem has affected both her physical and mental health:
I suffer with desperation and anxiety and my breast [sic] have made it ten times worse, I have low self esteem cause of them, a lot of the time I don’t go out the house because of them, my grooves in my shoulders from bra straps are so bad they’ve made me bleed a few times with it loose
FacebookKya has raised £65 so far and most people on the page have been pretty supportive.
One user, by the name of Wouter Van Eenaeme, even suggested another method for to raise her money – ‘show ’em to the public. That’ll certainly get you your reduction paid…and then some’.
…what a selfless and thoughtful fellow.
FacebookHer breasts weight two to three stone all together and cause her to hunch over, but the NHS does not fund breast reductions anymore.
She said:
I’ve been trying to save for one but it is proven to be very hard due to living on my own and being the sole earner, so I was wondering if you any guys can help, I would be very grateful and I would be able to live a life where don’t have to worry about getting up or going out.
