FacebookA 33-year-old woman who suffered 80 per cent burns after her boyfriend doused her in petrol and set her on fire has spoken out after spending 16 months in hospital.
Judy Malinowski, a mother of two from Ohio, was set alight in August 2015 by Michael Slager, 41, who has now been sentenced to 11 years in prison.
Having been denied the opportunity to testify at the trial about the night of the incident, Malinowski summoned the media to her hospital bed to give her side of the tragedy.

I never knew that a human being could be so evil. He just stood there and did nothing,
She urged any victims of similar crimes to ‘Get help. Run’.
Slager claimed he set her on fire by accident while trying to light his cigarette but Judge Judy Lynch found him guilty and said: “There’s nothing to say to a person like you, Mr Slager. You really do seem like one of those people who have no soul”.
Recounting the terrifying moment Slager poured gasoline on her during an argument behind a gas station in Gahanna, Malinowski described the look in his eye as ‘evil’.
The arson attack left the mother of two with fourth and fifth degree burns, causing her to lose two fingers and both her ears.
She remains in intensive care, she breaths with the help of a ventilator, cannot walk and talks in a whisper.

Malinowski’s mother, Bonnie Bowes, said Slager deserves nothing less than a life sentence after doctor’s warned she will likely not survive.
Bowes set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for her daughter’s cause.
