Woman Wanted For Attempted Second Degree Murder Comments On Her Own 'Ugly' MugshotPrecious Landry/Facebook/St. Martin Crime Stoppers

An 18-year-old who was wanted for attempted second degree murder complained about her ‘ugly’ mugshot on Facebook before handing herself in to the police.

The St. Martin Parish released the photo of Precious Landry on June 12, explaining she was wanted for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder in relation to an incident which occurred in True Friend Hall in Parks, Louisiana.

The mugshot showed the wanted woman with her hair tied back, wearing glasses and a purple jacket. Although mug shots aren’t really required to be flattering, the 18-year-old clearly wasn’t impressed as she commented on the post saying ‘that picture ugly’.

I’m not sure what she expected to happen – it’s not like the police were going to apologise and delete the snap, though they were kind enough to offer her a redo.

St. Martin Parish responded to Landry’s comment, writing:

Precious Landry you are always welcome to head over to the Sheriff’s Office and take a new picture if you want!

Or you can just wait to take it when someone turns you in to collect on the $1,000 reward!

However, the 18-year-old wasn’t going to be won over by the promise of a new photo or the threat of being turned in; instead she hit back at the authorities, encouraging them to find her themselves.

She replied ‘no do y’all job’ and joked about already having other mugshots.

Landry’s brazen responses received hundreds of reactions from amused Facebook users, who joked about the 18-year-old evading the police.

One person commented:

She was last seen on the corner of Facebook and messenger.

However, the 18-year-old soon seemed to have a change of heart about the situation as she turned herself in later the same day. It could have been because she felt guilty about hiding from the authorities or it could have been that the thought of the ‘ugly’ mugshot just became too much to bear but either way St. Martin Parish got their woman.

Crime Stoppers added an update to their post, reading:

Precious Landry turned herself into law enforcement this afternoon. Thanks for all your tips and information.

Landry was booked at the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and is listed as still being in custody as of July 14, though it’s not clear whether she ever got a new mugshot or not.
