You Can Have Christmas Dinner In Hogwarts’ Great Hall This Year

By :

To add some extra special memories to the most magical time of year, Hogwarts is opening its doors and welcoming people for Christmas dinner in the Great Hall.

With falling snow that never touched them and huge feasts set up on the tables, Harry Potter and friends’ Christmas dinner always looked like a spectacular event.

A lot of us were no doubt envious of the glorious Christmas set up at Hogwarts – I know I certainly was – but now you can actually experience it for yourself.

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour will be running the fantastic feasts in the evenings of December 10-12, offering up drinks and canapés before the mouthwatering two course meal.

In reverse Hogwarts fashion, guests will then venture from the Great Hall to platform 9 3/4, where dessert will be served.

After dinner, the lucky wannabe wizards will be able to explore the studio tour exclusively after hours.

As well as experiencing a grand Hogwarts meal time, you’ll be able to imagine yourself at the Yule Ball among Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour as the evening is filled with music and dancing.

While the ceiling might not produce untouchable snow, the Great Hall will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with actual decorations from the Yule Ball to make the event truly authentic.

As part of the tour’s Hogwarts in the Snow period – which runs from November 17 to January 27 – the whole tour, along with the iconic model of Hogwarts castle, will be sprinkled with snow.

Gryffindor Common Room and the Boys’ Dormitory will even have handmade Christmas cards created by the cast during production.

Of course, an event as spectacular as this one comes at a price, so if you happen to come across any of Gringotts’ goblins, you might have to ask for a loan so you can buy a ticket.

The event will cost £240 per person, and tickets will be available from 10am on September 25 from the Warner Bros website.

The site gives a description of the event, explaining:

Decorated using the original props from the magical film series, the Great Hall will be lined with trees adorned with golden baubles shaped like moons and partridges, while a replica feast complete with flaming Christmas puddings will dress the long tables.

After walking the red carpet, you will then take your seats on the actual set that was used during filming to find your chosen wand waiting on the table, all before enjoying the first two courses of a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

It would definitely be an unforgettable experience!

If you’re looking to have a Harry Potter themed Christmas on a lower budget, then Primark might be a more sensible stop for you to make.

The store have started stocking their own collection of Harry Potter baubles from just £4.

The baubles feature the house crests as well as a glittery ‘Platform 9 3/4’ sign, and would turn your house into a sea of wonder and magic for the festive season.

There’d be no better setting to enjoy your favourite Potter movies while feasting on Christmas chocolate!
