Daniel Craig doesn’t really like James Bond.

In an interview a few weeks back Craig announced he’d rather ‘slash his own wrists’ than play 007 again, and that he ‘doesn’t give a fuck’ who plays the character next.

And he’s now given some more interviews to promote the new Bond film, Spectre, which also appear to show his dislike for the character.

Speaking to Red Bulletin recently the 47-year-old actor was asked: “What could we learn from James Bond that would help us in our day-to-day lives?” His answer – after a short think – “Nothing.”

He was pushed further, with the reporter asking: “But James Bond is one of the most legendary movie heroes of all time. Surely he must have a couple of inspirational personality traits?”

Craig replied: “Let’s not talk these films up as some kind of life-changing experience. Bond is what Bond does,” before going on to call the character a ‘misogynist’.

He also gave an interview with ITV, which got pretty awkward, but to be fair he was repeatedly asked by reporter Sarah Powell to ‘pout’ for her.

She bizarrely then went on to ask him if he’d play a villain in the franchise, to which he replied: “I don’t know how to answer that. I don’t think that would… no, I don’t think so.”

The final straw for Craig was when Powell mentioned the tongue-in-cheek ‘Mrs Daniel Craig’ bumper sticker his wife Rachel Weisz has on her car, with the reporter saying she’d brought a ‘Mr Rachel Weisz’ one for him.

After she whipped out the sticker the interview came to an abrupt end, and Phillip Schofield later revealed the cameras were cut just before Craig started swearing.

Bond doesn’t pout on demand.
