1000 Musicians Perform ‘Learn to Fly’ To Get Foo Fighters To Come To Italy

The Foo Fighters are a legendary band. So legendary in fact, that hundreds of drummers, bassists, guitarists and singers came together in the Italian city of Cesena to perform one of their famous tracks ‘Learn to Fly’, in hopes it would persuade the band to fly over to perform there.

A group called Rockin 1,000 organised the event and have been fundraising for the event and video for more than a year.

Speaking through the camera to the Foo Fighters, Fabio Zaffagnini, one of the groups founders, says:

I guess this video is going to be seen by a huge amount of people all over the world, but to be true it’s been conceived to be addressed just to five people.

So to Chris, Pat, Nate, Taylor and Dave Grohl, the Foo Fighters. Italy is a country where dreams cannot easily come true, but it’s a land of passion and creativity. So what we did here is just a huge miracle.

1000 people, 1000 rockers, that came from all over the nation, at their own expenses. And they just did for one song, your song. So our call, is to ask you the Foo Fighters, to come and play for us. Come and play in here and give a concert to us here in Cesena.

Foo Fighters, who are not known for disappointing fans, have since posted the video on their twitter:

Looks like Cesena could be getting a visit from Dave and the boys in the near future.
