The long-awaited Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me began filming in Atlanta this week and we’ve had our first glimpses of the guy playing the man…
First time actor Demetrius Shipp Jr. had the privilege of landing the role and is the spitting image of the rapper. Shipp has been incredibly active on Instagram since the filming began with several behind the scenes photos and revealing how grateful he is to get this major role.

Despite the fact Shipp is very new to the acting scene, he’ll be accompanied by someone who’s incredibly familiar. Jamal Woolard, the actor/rapper who played Biggie in 2009 film Notorious, will be reprising his role, according to Shipp and Woolard.
It’s believed the biopic will tell the story of the rapper’s entire life, including his murder in 1996 and famous music video guru, Benny Boom, is directing.
Shipp has been a massive fan of Tupac since a chance encounter with the rapper when he was kid, because of his dads work in the music biz.
Producer L.T. Hutton approached Demetrius to star in the highly anticipated movie as Tupac, because of the obvious similarities. But he’s grasped the opportunity with both hands and immediately took some crash acting classes four times a week.

One thing’s for sure, we can’t wait to see it when it finally comes out…
