Adele has made millions from her trademark voice and inimitably precise winged eyeliner.

Yet the British singer’s latest look sees her departing from her usual brand and taking on an arguably even more iconic look, as she shares an homage to Dolly Parton.

Pics or it didn’t happen? Adele shared the evidence to Instagram:

The BRIT school grad captioned her transformation:

The effortless queen of song, Dolly Parton! We love you! We wish We could possess an ounce of your ability. You were the hero of our night! A hero of my life. I’ll always love you x

Adele pulled out all the stops to transform into the legendary country singer, adding a big blonde wig, plenty of makeup and a pink trouser suit.

Clutching a guitar and showing off some impressive long red nails and matching pink cowboy boots, Adele, 29, pouted for the camera as she channeled the spirit of Dolly Parton, who’s now 72.

If her voice ever gives out she could always make a decent 9 to 5 living as a Dolly impersonator.

The costume was certainly a good way to make the country singer feel her love and it seems Parton was touched by the sweet tribute, when she almost immediately responded via the picture sharing platform.

The singer wrote: ‘And I will always love you’ in Adele’s post comments, in a sweet reference to her song of the same title.

The pair of musical heavyweights sparked a friendship a while ago and have repeatedly referenced each other online and even in their music.

In 2016, Parton paid tribute to the younger star in her single Head Over High Heels, which tells the story of a woman getting ready for a night on the town.

Parton sings:

I put on my tight dress/hair teased on my head/I painted my lips red/and my eyes like Adele.

It’s not the first time Adele has taken on the character of one of her musical heroes. The Londoner dressed up as George Michael – complete with black leather jacket and stylish facial hair – to celebrate her birthday back in May 2015.

You can see the transformation, which Adele shared to her Twitter feed:

The tweet was subsequently flooded with further tributes to the late, great Michael, when news broke of his death on Christmas Day in 2016.

She was also lucky enough to be propositioned to sing with another singing legend, Celine Dion, of the Titanic soundtrack fame last April, when Dion appeared on ITV‘s Lorraine to talk about her bereavement after her husband’s death.

The My Heart Will Go On performer even sung an offer to Adele, saying she’d love to get together on stage together ‘anywhere, anytime’.

You can watch the full interview below:

After attending a Celine Dion concert, Adele tweeted:

Queen Celine! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life, thank you so much for the attention to your crowd and insane humor. Happy new year lady x

With so much love and respect for her fellow musicians, it’s no wonder she’s one of the most popular women in tinsel town.
