Avril Lavigne Defends Nickelback In Super Cringe Twitter Rant

In 2001, Nickelback unleashed How You Remind Me on an unsuspecting world, and ever since Kerrang played it on a loop, it has plagued karaoke bars the world over.

It’s a running gag with most music fans that the Canadian ‘rockers’ are up there with waterboarding as one of the most effective forms of torture, but one woman is speaking out, because enough is enough.

And, shock-horror, the person trying to defend the band’s reputation is Avril Lavigne – the former wife of frontman Chad Kroeger – but she has done so in a horrifically cringey set of tweets…

We thought the band would consider it a good thing that Donald Trump is hated more than their music. Avril clearly thinks differently…

A noble effort from Avril, and the world would be a better place with a little more love and a little less hate.

Sadly, as long as she’s producing dross like ‘Hello Kitty’, and Nickelback are churning out pretty much anything that isn’t ‘Rockstar’, the hate will more than likely remain.

Besides, they have clearly ridden the hate all the way to the bank, so things aren’t all that bad for them!
