As you probably well know Ed Sheeran broke pretty much every record this week with his new album Divide.

After hitting the charts on Friday it managed to become the fastest-selling album and grab the highest opening week album sales in Official Charts history ever for a male artist.

Everyone was pretty chuffed for him and rightly so, except for one person who didn’t know how to take the news.

Calvin Harris previously held the most Top 10 singles from one album, with nine tracks from 18 Months dominating the charts back in 2013.

And after realising Ed had eclipsed his incredible achievement, he said a big ‘fuck you’ to the singer-songwriter- but in the nicest way possible.

Calvin tweeted:

All 16 songs from Ed’s third studio album also managed to get into the top 20, which considering there are only 12 songs on the standard edition is pretty good going.

Oh, and he also became the first act to ever hold the entire top five. So no big deal.

Regardless of how you feel about the bloke, isn’t it nice to see someone who writes their own songs actually get the recognition they finally deserve?

We think so.
