Cardi B and Offset have split up, just months after the birth of their daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus.
Cardi made the shock admission through a video uploaded to her Instagram page, telling fans how they had ‘grew out of love’.
The 26-year-old Bodak Yellow rapper explained how they remained friends and their break-up was not anybody’s fault.
Speaking in the video, which was captioned ‘There you go..peace and love’ [sic], Cardi revealed:
So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know, I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now and we’re really good friends and you know we’re really good business partners.
He’s always somebody that I run to, to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time and it’s nobody’s fault.
She added:
I guess we grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore. I don’t know. It might take time to get a divorce and I’m gonna always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father and yah.
Yet, 26-year-old Offset commented on the video:
Y’all won. [sic]
Fans were understandably surprised by the break-up:
The celeb couple tied the knot back in 2017, in a private ceremony at their Atlanta home.
Following their wedding, Offset was accused of making a sex tape with another woman and rumours of cheating had followed the couple ever since.
As reported by W Magazine, Cardi has previously made the following remarks about the rumours:
Every single day there’s rumours about me and my dude. And it almost drives me crazy, because I start to believe them. I don’t have no proof. I don’t have receipts. But I just got to know my man.
Break-ups are never easy, so hopefully Cardi B and Offset will both find happiness going forward.
